This will be the official newsletter for everything I've been doing and will be doing with my alternative furniture brand, Anda Home.
Sorry I've been real quiet, it’s a force of habit. It's about time I handed out some refreshments while you wait.
Frankly there's not much I can really dive into now, so here's a recap on what's been happening lately...
Anda + MOLD
Two months ago, I collaborated with a local makerspace called MOLD to design two great new products—Stow, based largely on the Riser that I've been iterating on since the beginning, and an entirely new product called Nest.1

Since a successful exhibit at Purveyr Fair 2024, I've been heads down getting these two ready for commercialization, which means dealing mainly with production and marketing. A lot of September has been spent in the planning phase for these both, so now I'm preparing to execute.
Safe to say it won't be quiet on the Western front for long.
The aim is end of October for pre-sale2, which will be opened exclusively to everyone on The Waitlist for one week. You'll hear about it here.
On collaborating
I also spent some time jetting between places, laying the groundwork for some potential projects with other people.
I've always envisioned Anda, even since it was named Ando, as a platform for collaboration between myself and others that also stubbornly believe the now-tired cliche that good design can affect change.
I also believe that ideas become their best versions through collaboration—never in isolation.
If you're also an artist, designer, or anyone really with even an inkling of an idea, you can reply to this email and jump straight into conversation. It’s that simple. :)
Thank you
Honestly I’ve never had luck garnering an audience, or generally getting people excited about something I've made—especially as an introvert, but most especially as someone who isn't quite savvy at... internet things or “influencing”.
On a personal level, I've learned to bend social media somewhat to my will and make it work for my weird and sporadic lifestyle. But as a “brand”... that's obviously a whole other game I’ve got to learn how to play.
So the fact that you're up to here with me on this journey is something worth thanking you for.
Here's a code for you that might be useful sometime down the line: [if you received the initial email, you’ll find it there.]
Updates will come sooner than later regarding progress on Anda Stow and Nest.
Of course, you'll find those through here and on Anda's Instagram, @anda__home.
Soonest,
Cal
